The anthology challenged writers and artists to build entire narratives around a single sound cue—and in BANG, Emma explores the chilling aftermath of gun violence through a surreal and emotional lens. With minimal dialogue and bold visual storytelling, the piece reflects her ongoing interest in how trauma, memory, and silence shape human experience.

This marked Emma’s first published comic work and showcased her ability to translate cinematic storytelling into the visual language of graphic fiction.
